Ask the Expert Question (from Fantasy Index Magazine): Which player is being underrated in fantasy drafts so far?

Fantasy Football Index Magazine "Ask the Expert" Question for the Week: Which player is being underrated in fantasy drafts so far?

Cadillac Williams has an ADP that is all over the place. I have seen him go as late as 115th (10.07). I have him at about 75th (7.03). Whenever the last of the starting RBs (I have him ranked 32nd in RBs PPR, slightly higher non PPR) can be had in the 9th or 10th round that is value. I like him because he is two years removed from his serious knee injury and TB seems to want him to be their starter.

TE Tiers in 2010

Quick look at the TE tiers.
Lots of TE quality this year, I think the top 14 are all worthy of a starting spot.

There are four top TEs: Gates, Clark, Finley and Witten
Next comes 2 what I call tweeners: V Davis and Tony G could either go up a tier or down a tier.
Good TEs: Celek, Zach Miller(Oak), KWinslow, Heath Miller
Servicable TEs: Owen Daniels, Chris Cooley, Visanthe Shiancoe and John Carlson

After these 14 the next ones have some serious question marks...
Shockey (off season injury?), Greg Olsen (Martz hates TEs), Todd Heap (Lots of rookies wanting his job) and Dustin Keller (Lots of quality WRs wanting the ball more)

So... strong TE class for about the first 14-15, after that a potential minefield.

Sleepers: Tony Scheffler-Det, Fred Davis-Was and Jermaine Gresham-CIN

QBs to avoid in 2010

So I have two drafts in the next 12 days-lucky me! But that also means I have to make some hard choices as to who will win the position battles that have not even started. If you are in the same position that I am in, (drafting Thurs 29 July 9 PM EST in Pros vs Joes and again Saturday 31 July in local league), you need some help with the hard choices. Over the next 12 days I will show you my current rankings and provide some insight.

Today it is QBs. And who to avoid.

BUF just declared it a QB competition-stay away from all including Trent Edwards who I think will eventually win out.

CLE-Jake Delhomme is a deep sleeper as in do not draft until the last 4 Qbs are left and then hope and pray.

STL-Sam Bradford-Repeat after me rookie QBs usually do not do well and if they do (think Flacco and Ryan in 2008) it is when they have a good def, running game or both. STL has neither although S JAX tries his butt off.

CAR-Matt Moore-Cautiously optimistic-will fight off Jimmy Clausen for most of the year, but I would put him above all of the other bottom tier QBs just mentioned but below K Orton and Ben Roeth+9

2010 FFPC Pro's vs Joes Challenge

2010 FFPC Pro's vs Joe's Challenge

The 2010 FFPC Pros vs Joes Draft Challenge concept is simple. Take a group of hard core FFPC fantasy players (the Joes) and pit them against a contingent of fantasy industry experts (the Pros). There are 96 teams participating (half pros and half Joes). The overall field is divided into 8 separate 'Divisions'. Each division of 12 conducts their own draft. All teams drafted are tossed into one master league to compete. The highest scoring team across all divisions is crowned the 2010 FFPC Pros vs Joes Draft Challenge Champion. One team wins, period.

The scoring system is of course the signature FFPC scoring (with 1.5 points per catch for TE). FFPC also uses dual flx positions and action scoring where any TD scored by a player counts. So all those kickoff and punt return TDs matter now.

It's a DraftExperts format which is essentially a "Best Ball" league where the system automatically fills out your weekly roster with your best performing players at each position. No waiver wire moves or setting of lineups by the participants. Once you draft your team of 26 players, you're administrative duties are done for the year. Just monitor the leaderboard as the year goes on.
What do they win? Originally it was just bragging rights with a claim to the title of the 2010 FFPC Pros vs Joes Draft Challenge Champion. But we now have tons of prizes or bounties on the table including my offerings:
FFGuidebook is offering a copy of "Fantasy Football Guidebook: Your Comprehensive Guide to Playing Fantasy Football" to any Joe that wins their Division. Also, they are offering a choice of either a copy of "Fantasy Football Tips: 201 Ways to Win through Player Rankings, Cheat Sheets and Better Drafting" or "Fantasy Baseball for Beginners" to any Joe (that blows) and comes in last in their division (since baseball may be better suited to their skills).

I am a Pro in the 7th Division-Charles Jeffersons Z-28s

Ask the Expert Question: Which player who changed teams this offseason will NOT benefit most from a new address?

Fantasy Football Index Magazine "Ask the Expert" Question for the Week: Which player who changed teams this offseason will NOT benefit from a new address?

In a standard PPR league in 2009 Thomas Jones finished 10th in RBs through week 16.

Then he went to KC.

Enough said. You want more.

He turns 32 in August. He will be in a RBBC with Jamaal Charles and more of a tough, goal line vulture at that. I had him on tons of teams last year and he looked worn out the last three games of the season and in three playoff games. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry the first half of the season, 3.6 the second half. Don’t get me wrong he will be a sleeper if his ADP holds up (113th or 10.05), but do not expect 2009 type numbers.
