It is about time I reveal my Top 25 picks in a PPR League. Basically this is how the first two rounds of a PPR draft should go according to my projections and strategies assuming a start 1/2/2/1/1/1+ 1 Flex and normal PPR Scoring with 4 points for each passing TD, 6 for rushing and receiving TDs.

Dynasty Drafts

If you are playing in a Dynasty league this year and drafting rookies or even if you are having your inaugural dynasty draft-keep this in mind.

Rank players based on this years projected stats and future years potential. I.e Drew Brees and Peyton Manning are elite QBs this year but how many more years can you bank on them?

So factor in age, injury history, playing potential (contract length, does he have some younger player pushing him-think Marshawn Lynch in last year with Christine Michael behind him). But also consider positional life times. RBs do not have the longest careers in the NFL. Sure there are some exceptions-AP, Steven Jackson, Emmitt Smith but more are just a few year wonders. Now think about WRs. There are many elite older WRs that have been doing it for a long time.

What I am trying to say is that elite WRs can be on your dynasty team for a life time. WRs deserve a little extra special consideration in dynasty leagues. Of course it always all depends on your scoring rules and starting rosters too. If your dynasty league is a Non PPR and no flex start 2 WR league then that negates some of the power of an elite WR.

Just One More... published

Extra Point Press has published by new novel Just One More...
The book has been a five year journey and to call it a labor of love does not do it justice. It is a 348 page military thriller. I have already begun work on the sequel More Than One and you will find an excerpt on the sequel at the back of the book.

It is available in paperback from Amazon, BN and other online retailers. I am told it makes for a great summer beach read.

Expect the Ebook (Kindle, etc) out 1 October.

Maximum Fantasy Sports Has Lots to Love

Maximum Fantasy Sports (MFS) offers daily, weekly and monthly fantasy football games and league support.

But what I am most intrigued about are their unique options that are available. One is their In-game player change option. It allows you to bench a player (either for injury or poor play) by adjusting your lineup at the end of a quarter or half. I love this ability. Of course it puts a premium (or advantage) to the individual who is watching the NFL games live via the NFL Red Zone etc.

I think it may be a great "Fantasy Playoff" option. I.e only used when teams are in the playoffs and watching the games intently in weeks 14-16.

Here is a list of options available at MFS:
  • In-game player changes to handle player benching or injuries by adjusting your lineup at the end of a quarter or half
  • The ability to play a Head-to-Head game and a second game during the regular season against the League Average every week
  • Bye Week Rollover to give you a method of using your players for 17 weeks
  • Multi-team trades to put together your own blockbuster deals
  • Redraft and Keeper leagues
  • Team QB flex position, in addition to multiple other flex positions
  • Head-to-Head and Total Points leagues
  • Joint team owners, including during your Live draft
  • Bonuses on top of the normal scoring system
  • 2-week playoff option where the combined total is used to determine the winner
  • Injured Reserve positions

Check them out and see if they have something you love.
