I realy do not like the Thursday Night Football Intro song or whatever it is....

The formula for success with an intro song or sequence is simple. Show some highlights, have some cool music and include lots of cheerleaders. I mean how hard can it be? But instead the NFL Network has put Cee Lo Green with a remake of The Ramones' Blitzkrieg Bop but now called I Love Football. I just do not get it.

Ask the Expert Question: Which star through the first three weeks of the season would you be hoping to trade away while his value is highest?

Which star through the first three weeks of the season would you be hoping to trade away while his value is highest?

I will forgo the obvious injured players and simply name two starting RBs who will not be starting much longer, Michael Turner and Shonn Greene. Turner has 155 combined yards and 2 TDs (30 FP) and Greene has 166 combined yards and one less TD (24 FP). I say sell both before they lose their jobs to their backups (Jacquizz Rodgers and Bilal Powell).  One could make the case that they are not stars but anytime a starting RB gets benched it hurts your team roster.

I hate to say it but I do not like Thursday Night NFL football

Do not get me wrong. I love NFL football and the fantasy football that goes with it, but too much of a good thing is bad for you. I love chocolate but I do not eat it every day or I would weight over 300 pounds. Moderation is the key with great but addictive things and football on almost every night falls into that category in my opinion. I love Sunday football and Sunday night football. I cannot wait until Sunday arrives. And the Saturday teaser I get from the NCAA when the University of Virginia plays or some great match up of top 10 schools occurs (granted these are mutually exclusive events-sorry Wahoo's) just whets my appetite for Sunday. And then there is the traditional Monday Night Football. But Thursday night too??? I feel like I do not see my family from Thursday after work until Tuesday after work. Ok sure there is Friday night but I do have all those free agent transactions to propose right. I am sure I am in the minority and expect to take some heat on the emails from this bold statement. But I liked it better when there were 5 days between NFL contests for most of the season and then when it got really dark outside earlier in the day the NFL gave us TNF.

Ask the Expert Question: Which underachiever through the first two weeks of the season will turn things around the rest of the way, and why?

Which underachiever through the first two weeks of the season will turn things around the rest of the way, and why?

Aaron Rodgers and Jamaal Charles are destined for comebacks; Rodgers is ranked 18th in most leagues after 2 weeks and a slight knee tweak has Charles at 43 among RBs. Rodgers has had quite a few dropped balls from GB WRs and a revitalized rushing attack led to a GB win versus da bears. Both causes are short term and a visit to NO in week 4 will see his triumphant return to elite levels. If the Cinderella chiefs can get their act together and stay competitive for 60 minutes Charles can show what made him a top 5 RB in 2010. The potential is there you just have to trust the stud.
