Week 12 Results for FantasyFootballGuidebook.com

My leagues and weekly results/standings
Notes: if in bold I won this week, most of the DM leagues are total points standings so I translate that into Wins and Losses by assuming if I beat half of the other teams in TP then I Won.

Fantasy Index Auction          Win, 3-9, 9th
Fantasy Index Experts           Loss, 5-8, 4th

This week: 7-5
Overall for Season: 85-70

Of the 13 leagues five are "Expert" leagues either for fantasy football magazines (Pro Forecast Fantasy Football or Fantasy Football Index) or the Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC) Pros versus Joes contest or the Scott Fish Bowl 480 Invitational contest.

This year I am in "just" 13 leagues... six are "active" leagues involving day-to-day roster management (adds/drops, lineup changes etc). Seven leagues are "draft and forget" or Draft Master/Draft Expert Leagues which require no additional work as the teams I drafted are fixed (no adds/drops, trades/waivers etc) and the computer optimizes my lineup each week.

Ask the Expert Question of the Week: What one player are you most thankful for this fantasy season? Why?

What one player are you most thankful for this fantasy season? Why?

I will give you one from each position: Matt Ryan, Melvin Gordon, Larry Fitzgerald, Jimmy Graham, Adam Vinatieri and MIN defense. All are in the top 5 at their respective positions and were available in the middle of the draft. One or two of these, combined with a reliable stud or two from the early rounds, gives your team a great playoff potential. I have all of them scattered across my fantasy teams. Just wish I had them all on one high stakes team!

ASK THE EXPERTS appears weekly at http://www.fantasyindex.com/ with answers to a new question posted Thursday morning.

Ask the Expert Question of the Week: Nominate one modestly regarded player to trade for who could be big the rest of the way and say why?

Trade deadlines are upon us in many fantasy leagues. Nominate one modestly regarded player (we'd all like to add Ezekiel Elliott) you think fantasy teams should try and trade for who could be big the rest of the way, and say why.

I will give you a few: James Starks GB RB and Cameron Meredith CHI WR. Arguments can be made on whether they are modestly regarded at the moment. But both have great potential. Meredith should benefit from Alshon Jeffries four game suspension-last weeks fluky stat line was just that. Starks is healthy and the only RB left in GB. Throw in Davante Adams but I doubt he is modestly regarded. One more would be Eli Rodgers PIT WR who stands to gain from the Steelers WR injuries.
