Quarterbacks in skirts...I used to laugh at that Jack Lambert comment. Now I think it may be time for them to wear those skirts

Don't get me wrong I am all for protecting players from malicious hits that are designed purely to cause injury. When the QB throws an interception for example and then gets blindsided while trying to figure out what happened or the kicker who is taken out while jogging down the field, those are wrong. I am against blatant, violent, aggression on players. But slapping a fine on someone simply because the other player naturally ducked and thus caused helmet to helmet contact is crazy.

If any NFL player does not want to take his chances getting hit then let them wear a skirt and the zebras can protect him all day long.

Jack Lambert, 30 years ago, ... if you want to avoid contact, put quarterbacks in skirts, was ahead of his time.
