NFL Draft recap of Fantasy Football players from round 1-2

In all of my books I tell you to look to the first and second rounds of the NFL draft for potential super stars. Why? Because the NFL scouts know talent and they are more likely to draft a great stud in the first part of the draft. So use this insider knowledge as a guide for rookie potential. But there are two things a player needs to excel in the NFL: Skill/talent and opportunity. Opportunity is something we will look at for 2013 below.

Of course with only five FF skill positions drafted in the first round it gets a little harder. Luckily 14 skill players went in the next round. 19 total in rounds 1 and 2.

Note this information is for redraft leagues only. It is not dynasty information.

1 Tavon Austin WR STL (Rams traded up for this explosive playmaker)
2 Eddie Lacy RB GB (perfect fit for GB that needed a all purpose RB)
3 Le'Veon Bell RB PIT (Can be the every down back the Steelers need)
4 DeAndre Hopkins WR HOU (#2 WR will get touches when AJ is double teamed)
5 Cordarelle Patterson WR MIN (QB is only limiting factor)
6 Tyler Eifert TE CIN
7 Gio Bernard RB CIN (RBBC in 2013)
8 Montee Ball RB DEN (John Fox loves his vets)
9 Keenan Allen WR SD (may take some time or others injuries to make a name in SD)
10 Robert Woods WR BUF
11 Aaron Dobson WR NE
12 Justin Hunter WR TEN
13 E. J. Manuel QB BUF (does not start week 1 but soon after)

Honorable Mention (not drafted in rds 1-2) Zac Stacy RB STL)
