If you have yet to pick up your copy of the Pro Forecast Fantasy Football 2016 magazine then you are missing out on some great content. One of which is their Experts PPR Draft. The experts are competing for a 50 inch TV so there is some real incentive there to beat everyone else. This is a play it out all season league with trades, adds, drops and weekly lineup submissions. Last year I made the 4 team (out of 12) playoffs but lost in the first round.
I was honored to be invited to play in the league and draft out of the 11th spot on 22 June.
My team and their draft spots and some commentary is below:
QB
Cam Newton-CAR/7 (3.11) Value-best QB late in the 3rd, easy start decisions now
Tony Romo-DAL/7 (13.11) Same bye week as Cam but love his upside in 13th
RB
Adrian Peterson-MIN/6 (1.11) First pick for me 11th overall
Ezekiel Elliot-DAL/7 (2.02) Love this 1-2 RB start falling to me
C. J. Anderson-DEN/11 (4.02) OK maybe RB heavy too early
Jonathan Stewart-CAR/7 (7.11) 7th rd RB4 for me
TJ Yeldon-JAX/5 (9.11) I love my starting RBs...although Chris Ivory could RBBC here
WR
DeVante Parker-MIA/8 (5.11) Late to the WR party so stockpile
Larry Fitzgerald-AZ/9 (6.02) "double up to catch up"
Kevin White-CHI/9 (8.02)
Travis Benjamin-SD/11 (10.02)
Kendal Wright-TEN/13 (12.02) Barkeep give me a WR every 2nd round
Pierre Garcon-WAS/9 (14.02) Hope and a prayer sleeper
Victor Cruz-NYG/8 (15.11) Longshots and hoping 1 pays off
Kenny Stills-MIA/8 (18.02)
TE
Julius Thomas-JAX/5 (11.11) I will drop a worthless WR in week 4 to add a serviceable TE fill-in
K
Chandler Catanzaro-AZ/9 (17.11) Next to last pick of the draft-as it should be!
DEF
CAR/7 (16.02) Since I was basically at the turn I went DEF and K with the turn at 16/17 to get a leg up on everyone else
