DEF/ST 2009 Fantasy Football Rankings

Scoring is based on 1 point for sacks, 2 points for safeties and turnovers, 6 points for TDs on KO/P RTNs and Turnovers. Shutouts get 10 points, allowing 1-6 points=8, allowing 7-13=4 points.

Expect the top DEF/ST to start to go in round 12 of a 20 round competitive PPR league. The teams are divided by tiers.

Fantasy Football Tips-Tip # 169 FF Websites

One of the 201 tips in Fantasy Football Tips: 201 Ways to Win through Player Rankings, Cheat Sheets and Better Drafting ($9.95), is Tip #169 about Fantasy Football Websites, I mention one such site that I have been a member of for years. http://www.fantasyfootballguys.com/

I find myself gravitating to them each year because they are one of the best. They have tons of articles, player stats, depth charts, drafting software and much more. Their Sunday starter/injuries/weather page is worth its weight in gold!

Now they have a great deal with free daily email updates! Try them out for free and see what you think.

What was your best preseason pick?

Wes Welker and Dwayne Bowe are currently 7th and 17th. I picked them to be 14th and 19th back in May while many did not have either in their top 25 WRs. I liked Welker’s heart coming across the middle and rightly predicted KC would be behind early and often leading to lots of passes for Bowe. I also picked Derek Anderson and Jamal Lewis as busts. Both are sitting at about 30th. I was very high on Matt Forte, but even I did not pick him to be a top 3 RB in PPR leagues.
