Some random thoughts/musings of things sports related. Please forgive me in advance for my rants.
Is it just me or does IND seem to have the 2 minute drill down to an art. Every time they run it, the receiver of a Manning catch always immediately jumps up and ... goes directly to the official and hands them the ball. Then they rush back to the line of scrimmage. Other teams however, seem to lose control when they run the 2 minute drill. Receivers seem so happy at an apparently unexpected catch that they feel obligated to run forward and make a first down gesture or pound their chest-all the while wasting valuable time off the clock. IND does it right, everyone else seems to be show boating and not doing it right.
What is up with the Jets clock management in the MNF game? They gave the ball back to the vikes with 2:03 left when a little game clock management like letting it go down to :01 second before hiking the ball on 3rd down (an incomplete pass no less) would have meant MIN got the ball after the 2 minute warning. Hmmmm

Vikings looking to trade for QB Sage Rosenfels from Texans
Again the Vikings appear to be trading for Sage Rosenfels from Hou Texans,
the Vikes tried to get him last year too.
If they can trade for him that will free them up to look for a stud WR in the 2009 NFL draft and 5 of them should go in the first round.
Rumors say it will be a fourth round pick although the Vikes may be desperate enough to offer a 3rd rounder.
