Footballguys Players Championship (FPC) and my team from Sundays draft

The FPC offers a shot at their $150,00 grand prize for just a $350 entry fee.

The format and rules are the same as the Fantasy Football Players Championship (www.theFFPC.com).

As a review, it is a start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF and 2 Flex players (R/W/T).

One point per reception for RB and WR and 1.5 PPR for TE.

12 team leagues, online drafts, 4 team playoffs for $2,100 in prizes for 1st and 2nd ($1,600/$500)

Overall Champion wins $150,000 and prizes in the Championship round go all the way to 200th

I love this contest and have played every year since its inception in 2010. Where else can you pay mid size money ($350) for a chance at high stakes payouts?

Here is my team from Sundays 1 Pm ET draft (19 Aug 2012)

QB
Tony Romo-DAL/5 (8.05)
John Skelton-AZ/10 (20.05)

RB
Jamaal Charles-KC/7 (2.05)
Ben Jarvis Green Ellis-CIN/8 (5.08)
Kevin Smith-DET/5 (6.05)
Shonn Greene-NYJ/9 (7.08)
Toby Gerhart-MIN/11 (10.05)
Delone Carter-IND/4 (16.05)

WR
Jordy Nelson-GB/10 (3.08)
Hakeem Nicks-NYG/11 (4.05)
Randall Cobb-GB/10 (11.08)
Lance Moore-NO/6    (12.05)
Brandon LaFell-CAR/6 (13.08)
Santana Moss-WAS/10 (15.08)
Michael Floyd-AZ/10  (17.08)
Eddie Royal-SD/7       (18.05)

TE
Rob Gronkowski-NE/9 (1.08)
Owen Daniels-HOU/8 (9.08)

K
Garrett Hartley-NO/6 (19.08)

DEF
PHI-PHI/7  (14.05)

Observations:
-Wanted to start strong with a top 5 RB in rd 1 like CJ or McFadden at 1.08 but they were gone.
-Went with Gronk who I have as my #1 TE anyway.
-Thru first 7 rounds 4 starting RBs, 2 top 15 WRs and the top TE.
-I love Romo in the 8th round. Wait on QB this year (my usual advice).
-9th wanted to get my TE2 before it got thin. This is a 1.5 PPR for TE league so the TE position as a flex can help. Remember there are two flex positions too.
-Gerhart in the 10th is good value.
-Needed to stockpile WRs so 6 in next 8 rounds (11-18). Only deviation was top 5 DEF in 14th and a sleeper RB in the 16th.
-Kicker in 19th who is in a dome and kicks for a high powered offense that lost a weapon or two and a HC for the season
-Skelton if he starts could be money with the weak AZ OL if he does not start I will drop him and add the best start for Romo's bye week.
