The Eagles have just "blindsided" everyone by trading their HOF QB to a DIVISION RIVAL.
YSTBSM. Granted it is for a high 2nd rounder (37th overall) and most likely a 3rd rounder. The second compensation pick (a 3rd or 4th rounder) is determined by how well McNabb performs, so that should be a 3rd. I can only guess Phil knows something about McNabb (injury, age, skill set) that would make them want to trade him away now. On the WAS side, they will use McNabb as the mentor to someone they draft this year. So they will draft a QB this year and tell him to hold the clip board and watch McNabb and learn.
And in the meantime, the Redskins will get as much info out of McNabb on his former team as possible. He will be the WAS Defensive Coordinators new best friend.
Go figure. I would have put money on McNabb to OAK, and never would have guessed WAS.
That's why we play the games.
