I cannot give away too many details of Tuesdays Fantasy Football Pro Forecast Expert Draft until the magazine hits bookstores. The date for this will soon be determined. Hopefully the lockout is ended in the next 2 weeks and the 2011 season can start on schedule (Ok without the OTAs that we missed). I would guess that Fantasy Football Pro Forecast magazine will be available the 1st of August, but that is just an educated guess not insider information. But I digress...What I can tell you is that I held the 4th pick overall and expected my #1 RB Jamaal Charles to fall to me there. I was not expecting an owner to take Mike Vick before me. Vick tapered off in Dec and Jan of last year when defenses hit him with blitz packages and everything but the kitchen sink. So I think there is a chance he regresses a bit in 2011 but who knows.
Back to my point, one of the fab 3 RBs (Adrian Foster, Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson) was available to me. My choice was Chris Johnson or Jamaal Charles (who I have #1 overall).
I put my money where my mouth is and drafted Jamaal Charles but regretted it afterwards. Even though I like Charles to be the best RB this year I am here to tell you it is tough to draft him ahead of the fab 3 mentioned earlier. Just saying...been there...done that and had some buyers remorse. Something to think about at the 1.04 spot if Vick goes early.

I'm going to be in the exact same situation and have already been struggling with it. I pick #4 in a 12 team PPR league, and am almost certain that Vick will go in the first 3 picks. I too have Charles as the #1 RB, but how do you pass on AP, CJ or Foster??!!
I will probably be torn about this until draft day.
I hear you. I stuck to my guns and picked Charles but then felt sick after passing on CJ. If I had to do again I know I would pick Chris Johnson. So no matter how much we like Jamaal Charles at #1 the gut check means he is really more like #2 or #3. Good luck in your draft!
