I have been optimistic before (Expecting a deal before the NFL Draft in April) but this time it feels different. I predict a deal by Friday July 15th. If so, then the Hall of Fame game on 7 August will proceed as scheduled and the 2011 NFL season can start on time.
Both sides are rumored to be close to hammering out the details on the revenue sharing and the lawyers have been seen working on the behind the scene issues too.
If they do not have a deal by then revenues from the preseason games start to be missed and that hits everyone in the wallet.
