The Premier Expert Contest has announced the pairings for each league. League 11 The Vernon Davis League (leagues this year are named after the great criers of the NFL) recently announced the players for 2012. The League drafts on Saturday 28 July at 1 PM EST. Take a group of hard core FFPC high stakes fantasy football players (the Joes) and pit them against a contingent of fantasy industry experts (the Pros). There are 132 teams participating this year (half pros and half Joes). The overall field is divided into separate 'Divisions'. Each division of 12 conducts their own draft. The highest scoring team across all divisions is crowned the 2012 Pros vs Joes Draft Challenge Champion.
Each division conducts their own 26 round draft. This is a Draft Experts format (best ball) where your best performing players at each position are automatically used for your lineup based on that week's results. Points are calculated through week 16. The scoring rules are based on FFPC (www.theFFPC.com) rules which is unique in that tight ends get 1.5 points per reception. Weekly lineups also allow for a dual flex spot. Each week a lineup will consist of 1 QB,2 RB,2 WR,1 TE,2 Flex (RB,WR,TE),1 K, 1 D .
Each team will compete within their division to win the league crown, but the overall totals will be tallied to keep track of points scored across all divisions to determine an overall winner. The team with the highest overall points is the 2012 Pros vs Joes Draft Challenge Champion!
Last year I won my league (the only Pro to do so in 2011) and finished 6th overall.

I have to say this is one of the toughest leagues in 2012. Jules McLean is one of the best fantasy football players in the world and she also has a book out (Fantasy Football's Big Six where she contributed to the Chapter2 Dynasty and Keeper Leagues). I read your book Jules :). Jules and I played last year in a private NFFC style auction league. You can look back at those posts for how I did (hint SB winner). Jules is also a host on Fantasy Frickin Football (http://www.fff-football.com/).
Darren Armani, aka Fantasy Mojo (www.FantasyMojo.com) organizes the Pros v Joes (PvJ) contest and is a power player in FF as well. Anytime FantasySharks.com is involved in a contest you need to watch out. That is just the Pros!
As far as the Joes are concerned, I think I may have played against Henry Muto in either the old World Championship of Fantasy Football or the FFPC recently. A tough competitor indeed and Jason Duvall has popped up recently on the FFPC message boards and appears to be another fierce player who |I will need to watch as I have a bad feeling he may be stealing some of my sleepers in the 9th draft spot.
Lets just say I have my work cutout for me if I am going to repeat as a league champion again this year......
