I am honored to be asked and accepted to play once again as a Pro in the PvJ Contest sponsored by the Fantasy Football Players Championship. It is a great event with super prizes ponied up by the great guys at FFPC. Darren Armani (aka FantasyMojo) does an outstanding job hosting the event as well.

The Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC) is once again
hosting the Pros vs Joes Competition. The FFPC is again offering a 2015 Main Event team entry (valued at $1,750) to each winner of the 6  PvJ Leagues. That is over $10,000 in prizes for this great contest. And the best part is that it is free.

Unfortunately spaces are limited to just 36 Pros and 36 Joes. The Pros are selected by the FFPC and FantasyMojo.com. I have been honored to be a participant as a Pro for each of the seven years since 2009 that the Pros vs Joes contest has run.

The Joes are chosen by a lottery system and will be announced soon. Entries into the P v J Lottery are through early entry into the FFPC Main Event for that year.

Here is the FFPC Scoring system used in the Pros vs Joes:

  • Starting roster: 1-QB, 2-RB, 2-WR, 1-TE, 1-K, 1-D/ST and 2-Flex Players (RB/WR/TE)
  • 4 pts for passing TDs, 6 pts for all other TDs
  • 1 pt for every 20 yards passing
  • -1 point for every interception thrown
  • 1 point for every 10 yards rushing or receiving
  • 1 pt per reception for RBs and WRs
  • 1 .5 pt per reception for TEs
  • 2 points for 2-pt conversion
  • 1 point for PAT conversion
  • 3 points for every FG of 30 yards plus .1 point for every yard thereafter
  • 1 pt for D/ST sack, 2 pts for all turnovers
  • 6 pts for all D/ST touchdowns
  • 5 pts for every safety
  • 12 points for every shutout
  • 8 points for allowing between 1 – 6 points
  • 5 points for allowing between 7 – 10 points
