A lively update/commentary of all things Football (especially fantasy football) from the award-winning author of Fantasy Football Guidebook and four other fantasy football books.
Just 2 hours to go until the NFL Draft tonight April 30th. Here is my final prediction for the first round picks in the NFL Draft. I have included what I think are the drafting teams needs and who they will pick. Will any NFL team trade with TEN to get their #2 overall pick? Rumors swirled that SD might trade with TEN, then their was speculation that CLE would trade up with TEN and of course their is always talk that PHI and Chip Kelly would trade up to get his boy. Others discussed were STL, WAS and the NYJ. I think none will get a deal done and TEN will draft Leonard Williams with the #2 pick….then PHI will get something done with JAX to get their #3 pick and take Marcus Mariota there. There are two major DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) sites: FanDuel and Draftkings. FanDuel is bigger but Disney is investing $250 million in the other online fantasy sports business (Draftkings) and extracting some revenue sharing with them via ESPN advertisements. The key to the daily sites are you can play fantasy sports and compete in a single day competition. No need to wait until the end of the season-just play for this sunday and see if you can win some cash. Time will tell if this is a marriage made in heaven or a beauty and the beast scenario.
