Tip #222 Sometimes you do not want to swing for the fences

Often the fantasy football pundits will spout cookie cutter advice that works in most cases but not in all scenarios. I have been guilty of this myself on occasion. One such instance is in the "draft for upside" philosophy in the later rounds of a fantasy football draft. But I do not think that is the best strategy in some cases.

I use this: If I am strong at that position then take some flyers on players with upside potential but also bust tendencies. I.e the boom or bust players.
But if you are weak at the position (say from waiting to draft your QB last) then you should probably draft a safer pick as his replacement (backup on your team).
