RotoBowl from FFWC Offering Nice ROI

You know I love to calculate the Return On Investment (ROI) for the High Stakes contests. The RotoBowl Mid Stakes Contest has a a very appealing ROI and I will be playing in it this year.

$279 gets you an entry into a 12 team league where the League Prizes are $2,374. Awarded as follows:

1st Place 2015 FFWC Main Event Entry (valued at $1,695) or $1,500 cash

2nd Place 2015 RotoBowl Entry (Valued at $279) or $250 Cash

Best Record at the End of the regular Season: $200
Most Points at the End of the regular Season: $200

So thats a return of 70.9% from $2,374 in prizes divided by the $3,348 in entry fees (12 x $279).
Note: 64.2% if everyone took cash instead of the Event Entries.

But theres more….
The RotoBowl also has a $50,000 Grand Prize and over $26,000 in prizes thru the 30th spot. So that means with 1008 teams (almost double last years entries) they would have 84 leagues.
84 leagues paying out $2,374 is about $200,000 in league prizes plus another $76,000 in Grand Prizes means $275,000 paid out on $281,232 in entry fees (1008 entries x $279). So they are just going to break even and have a ROI of close to 100% if 1008 teams sign up.
They are limiting themselves to 1992 entries. Obviously the more entries they have over 1000 the more they will make on the mid stakes contest. Even then, at the maximum player numbers the ROI is above 86%. What a great deal! Sign me up.

For the FF player, the RotoBowl looks very good indeed.
