Crushed in FFWC Qualifier by a Herculean Effort from Christopher Haley

Here is the setting. Going into Week 13, the last week of the regular season  I am in first place in terms of Total Points in my Fantasy Football World Championship (FFWC) qualifier league and 4th in the standings based on H2H. I have a 116 point lead over my opponent for the week, team name Christopher Haley, in terms of scoring for the year. I.e if we had to compete for the last playoff spot (#4 seed and the 2nd highest Total Points team) then I had a 117 point lead going into week 13. Yes week 13 you are still in it, playing for the playoffs. What a great feeling watching Thanksgiving day games and competing for a playoff spot.

I am feeling pretty comfortable.

Of course, Scott Atkins (VP of Marketing) jinxed me from week 1 when he said I had a "monster team and would have no problem making the playoffs"-thanks Scott.  LOL.

The FFWC awards four playoff spots to:
#1 (Best H2H team
#2 (Best TP team)
#3 (Next best H2H team remaining)
#4 (Next best TP team remaining)

I put up 111.6 which stinks since the FFWC has a great starting roster format where 11 players start-1/2/3/1/1/1 and 2 flex. So you can start up to 4 RBs or 5 WRs or 3 TEs or some combination in between. Lots of flexibility and…an extra player compared with most standard start 10 money leagues. So 111.6 sucks.

Why the low score? The list of reasons is long and distinguished. Just a few thoughts
-Nate Burleson puts up a goose egg-yes zero my hero
-Marshawn Lynch is benched during a blowout of the Saints. Finishes with just 8.7 pts.
-Need I go on?

Ok 111.6 plus my 117 point lead means my opponent would have to score nearly 230 points to beat me right? It was not even close in a bad way. Read on.

Christopher Haley
Peyton Manning       38.15 (on 5 TDs-4 to Eric Decker)
Fred Jackson            23.8
DeMarco Murray     33.2 (that I had to watch on Thanksgiving day)
Ben Tate                  28.2
ERIC DECKER     49.4 (you have got to be kidding me!)
Marquis Goodwin      0.0 (ok so Haley is human or it could have been worse)
Alshon Jeffrey           48.9
Dexter McCluster      9.3
Antonio Gates           9.1
Stephen Goskowski  14.6
NYJ Def/St               3.0

257.65

Great job Mr Haley. I hope you win it all and take home the Championship (1st place is a FFWC Main Event Entry for 2014-a $1,650 value or more).

That was some week Christopher!
