Fantasy Index Open-Overall Rankings, FFGuidebook finishes 36th Out of 169 Entries

For the second time in three years, the winner of the Fantasy Index Open isn’t a reader but an industry pro.
That’s the nature of this competition. It’s an open – open to everyone.
And Mike Nease, a Chicago-based writer for Fantasy Sharks, had the best overall board among the 169 entries.
Back in 2012, Sam Hendricks of Extra Point Press was the winner.
Nease’s win was decisive. He finished 1st in running backs, 20th in defenses, 27th in tight ends, 46th in kickers and 59th in quarterbacks. With the number of entries, that’s impressive.
There was a bigger spread between Nease and the 2nd-place finisher (3,271 points) than between the next 15 entries combined.
Todd Voorhees of Chula Vista, Calif., finished 2nd, just ahead of Peter Owers, a student from West Palm Beach, Fla. As the top 2 non-industry finishers, they win spots in the Experts Poll in the 2015 edition of the magazine, competing against 18 industry analysts (including Nease).
Four other fantasy pros finished in the overall top 30: Scott Sachs (6th), Andy Richardson (8th), Mike Clay (14th) and Cory Bonini (30th).
Tom Deskovitz of South Lyon, Mich., and Michael Livengood of Ward, Ark., were the top 2 finishers last year. They both had strong entries, ranking 15th and 26th.
As the winner, Nease will have his name engraved on a deluxe trophy provided by the team at Affordable Trophies. They sponsor this competition each year, and that’s appreciated.

I finished 36th out of 169 Entries Overall.
