With no regard to your wonderful topic of football, I will answer the Burning Question du Jour: WHAT IS A ROOSTER SPUR?
A rooster's talons (is that actually a word? is it falons? I have no frickin' idea. Cheap Poetry 101 would allow some poetic l and alzheimer-like license)have one PRONG coming out the BACK of their CLAWS (aka TALONS OR FALONS). That PRONG coming out of the HEEL (if a rooster had a heel) is the SPUR that I REFER to in my story over yonder in the pawpaw patch.
