FFGuidebook.com Starts FootballGuys Players Championship (FPC) Championship Round

FFGuidebook.com wins FootballGuys.com Players Championship (FPC) (17 Aug 1pm B) League in Week 13!

The First Place league prize from winning the League Championship game is a Main Event Entry into the 2015 Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC) worth $1700 or $1500 cash or three entries into the 2015 FPC ($1000 value) and $500 cash.

My worthy opponent Robert Conley (Multibeast 1) won $500 as the League Champion runner up.

It was a very nail biting, close game!

I had 155.95 going into SNF with just Eric Decker on MNF remaining.

Robert had Peyton Manning, Jamaal Charles and Travis Kelce going into the Sunday Night Football game and trailed by 36.75 (with 119.2 FP) . Peyton is usually good for 30 points so my expectations were low for a victory.

Peyton had a sub 200 yd passing game (179 pa, 2 TDs = 16.35 FP)
Charles had 59 combined rush/rec yds, 4 catches and a TD=15.9
Kelce had just 3 catches for 36 yards = 8.1 FP
(remember the FFPC and FPC award 1.5 PPR for TE)

Those three only scored 40.35.  Multibeast 1 now led by just 3.6

I thought I had it locked up after Decker caught one of the first three passes of the game-(I caught a flight out of Washington DC then for London and did not watch or peek at stats until Tuesday night when I watched the entire game via NFL gamepass in England). I knew I was cursed when Jon Gruden said he had never seen so few passes execpt in a monsoon-More on that later. Decker had no more catches until 2 minutes were left in the game and MIA finally took the lead for the first time. This forced the Jets to throw. Decker caught his seocnd pass on the next to last play of the game!!! (Smith threw a pick to end the game on the next play).
Decker finished with 2 catches for 18 yards or 3.8 points. I won by .2 points.

I am still utterly in disbelief. The next 2 days of waiting and watching for stat changes was just as unbearable as watching those two NFL games (SNF and MNF).

The final score was 159.75-159.55.

I was in the same position in the 2007 LC of the World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF). I needed Heath Miller to catch one pass in the game to win (down by 1.2). It was against MIA and the game was played in a.....you guessed it. Monsoon. I think Gruden remembered that game. Heath did not catch a pass and I missed out on quite a lot of money ($10,000 I think). To this day Heath Miller has never played a game and not caught a pass exept that one! DOH!

By winning the FPC League Championship this year I advanced to the Championship Round of the FPC.

The #1 and #2 seeds (Best H2H and Best Total Points teams) automatically advance to the Championship round. I was the #3 seed (Next best H2H team). The League Champion (LC) also automatically advances to the Championship rounds. So in my league 3 teams advanced, in others only 2 advanced.

Now I bring my Week 1-11 average (1445 in 11 games = 131.38) which will be added to my Week 14-16 weekly scores as I play against 1424 other owners for $300,000.

After Dez Bryant's 14.2 on TNF I am at 1147th out of 1425.

The FPC Championship pays prizes out to the 650th place! Amazing.

Here are some of the prizes:

1st place is $300,000
2nd              $40,000
3rd              $20,000
4th               $12,500
5th               $11,000
6th               $10,000
Cash is awarded through the 150th place (who receives $500)

2015 FPC Entries ($350 value) go to 151-400th

Lifetime FootballGuys subscriptions go to 401-500th

3 Year FootballGuys subscriptions go to 501-650th

So almost half of the owners in the Championship round will get a prize (46%). Wow! What a great contest and all for just a $350 entry.
