Erin Andrews to Replace Pam Oliver on FOX NFL Team

Erin Andrews (a favorite of mine) was announced as the replacement for Pam Oliver on the Fox #1 NFL broadcast team. Erin replaces Pam as the Fox #1 sideline reporter.
Oliver is not retiring she has simply been relocated to the #2 Fox NFL team. Although this may be her final year (20th) on the sideline with Fox.
Why the switch?
Erin is 36. 
Pam is 53.
Did the age difference play a role in the move? 
Erin does have a broader appeal since her appearance on Dancing with the Stars.
Time will tell if it was the best move for Fox Sports.
