Thoughts?

First of all this is a Draft Masters (often called a "Draft and Forget" league. So no add/drops, no trades and no starting lineup decisions. The team you leave the draft with is the team you play for the entire year. The computer submits your optimal lineup each week after the scores are known. So it is the ultimate draft experience and fun without any of the hassle? of active in season management.

These leagues are a great way to really get a feel for what players are worth before having to draft with larger stakes later.

-Rice fell to me in the 10th so I took him.

-I recently moved Brandon Marshal up to #2 over A J Green since he tweaked his knee. But Demarco Polo took BM so I went Green to have a strong RB-WR start. In past drafts this year I have gone RB-RB but then I am done with RBs by the 10th and cannot draft some of my sleepers. So I went more balanced early here.

-I have Cobb as my #8 WR and expected him to go in the early 3rd. Having him fall to me was great. With hindsight I think going Gore and passing on Cobb may have been better.

-I expected either Gore, Wilson or Lamar Miller to be available. Demarco Polo took Gore. I took Wilson and noted his handcuff Andre Brown has a ADP of 6.11 which means I need to take him with my 6.03 pick if I want him.

-Love Tony Gonzalez falling to me at 5.10. He is my 4th ranked TE and has a ADP of 4.03. Two rounds later I get him. Wow!

-If I want Andre Brown to Flex and HC Wilson I need to pick him now. But there are five starting RBs still available. I elect to take Eddie Lacy (rookie with GB) and pray that Brown falls a little to me in the 7th.

-The McFrogs take Brown with his 7.06 pick. I feel a TE run coming and when Pigskins and Fries 1 take Finley I pounce on Kyle Rudolph with my 7.10. His ADP is 6.12 so some value here. He had a ton of TDs last year and I think TDs can be fluky-I prefer catches and yards but what the heck I am a vikings fan. 10 TEs are drafted in the next 20 picks!

-Steve Johnson fell to 8.03 due to his hammy injury. Like I said in the chat room. It is early in preseason. He has time to recover and he is my WR3 so I can take a chance and let him start slow if needed in a DM format.

-So I start 0 QB, 3 RB, 3 WR and 2 TE. Remember in the FFPC format TE get 1.5 PPR vs 1.0 PPR for RB and WR. They are worth more (especially the top ones) than other leagues.

-Would have taken Hillman if available instead my handcuff for Rice in Bernard Pierce fell to me. It has either Pierce or Woodhead. I think I am having buyers remorse already. Grinner took Danny Woodhead 2 picks later.

-Mark Ingram was the only RB left in his tier. His ADP is 8.03 but may have gone up a little since a recent timeshare announcement with him and Pierre Thomas came out. Still he is healthy for the first time in his career.

-I am high on Michael Floyd but could never draft him in this years drafts, so I targeted him in the 11th.

-Last team to get a QB. Big Ben will deliver

-I love Shonn Greene as a sleeper pick this year to pull a Lendale White and goal line vulture some TDs. DM is the perfect format because I do not have to decide when to start him. Same for Bernard Pierce. Let the computer plug them in when they hit!

-Sam Bradford in the 14th. QB2 I love his upside potential. Another year in the system and now he has two new weapons in Tavone Austin and Jared Cook.

-PIT defense in the 15th? Defenses were going early and nine were already off the board. I really like PIT combined with either CLE, BUF or MIA. So I took my anchor D here.

-Rest of the draft
--Matt Flynn to get a QB3.
--MIA defense to get the combo and then OAK was only defense (other than JAX) left when I picked again.
--3 Kickers all in stable jobs with different bye weeks and two kicking in domes.
--2 WR rookie long shots in AJ Jenkins-SF, Kendal Allen-SD
--2 WRs vets who might do something-Santanna Moss-WAS, Jason Avant-PHI
