Dynasty Drafts

If you are playing in a Dynasty league this year and drafting rookies or even if you are having your inaugural dynasty draft-keep this in mind.

Rank players based on this years projected stats and future years potential. I.e Drew Brees and Peyton Manning are elite QBs this year but how many more years can you bank on them?

So factor in age, injury history, playing potential (contract length, does he have some younger player pushing him-think Marshawn Lynch in last year with Christine Michael behind him). But also consider positional life times. RBs do not have the longest careers in the NFL. Sure there are some exceptions-AP, Steven Jackson, Emmitt Smith but more are just a few year wonders. Now think about WRs. There are many elite older WRs that have been doing it for a long time.

What I am trying to say is that elite WRs can be on your dynasty team for a life time. WRs deserve a little extra special consideration in dynasty leagues. Of course it always all depends on your scoring rules and starting rosters too. If your dynasty league is a Non PPR and no flex start 2 WR league then that negates some of the power of an elite WR.
